Teams
This is a quick start guide on how to access and make a video call in Teams. We also have quick, handy tips to make the most of Microsoft Teams and the LSE provide further instructions on their Setting up Microsoft Teams page.
Access Teams
- First, please note, if you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled on your LSE account you will see an "Approve Sign-in request" or verification window when you to sign in to Microsoft 365, to access Teams online or download Teams. Verify your identity and your account will be accepted.
- Visit teams.microsoft.com to download Teams onto your laptop.
You can also download it to your smartphone from your relevant App Store. Both these options offer the best user experience and excellent functionality.
You can also access it through a web browser via the Microsoft Teams website.
Logon to Teams
- Use your LSE email address and password to sign in when you first open the app on your laptop or smartphone.
- If you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled on your account you will then see an "Approve Sign-in request" or verification window. Verify your identity and your account will be accepted.
Making a call in Teams
- Click the 'Chat' button on the left-hand sidebar.
- Select the New chat icon at the top of your chat list.
- Type in the name of the person you wish to contact into the 'To' field at the top of your new chat.
- Then click 'Video call' or 'Audio call' to begin your call.
