Changing your RLAB password
If you have forgotten your RLAB password or it needs to be reset, please follow the instructions below.
If you simply need to change your existing password, please follow Steps 3-7.
- Get in touch with the RLAB IT team, so that they can help you reset your password.
- The IT team will provide you with a default 15-character password and the address of a remote access server.
- Connect to the LSE VPN with your LSE account or Guest VPN account details.
- You should then remote into the server via Microsoft's Remote Desktop application and use the temporary password with your RLAB account (use RLAB\username in the Username field).
- Once signed in, you should bring up the change password option by using either:
- CTRL-ALT-END on a Windows device
- FN-CTRL-OPT-DEL on an Apple device
- Click on Change Password and set-up your new password, which should be complex (at least 15 characters long, containing upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols).
- Once this is done, sign out and in again to test the new password and notify the IT team that the process is complete.
