External web platforms
In this page we assess third party platforms that may be used for personal or project pages.
There are some things to consider:
- What is the type and aim of the website: To build a personal page or to build a project website with one or many contributors?
- What is the level of familiarity with building websites from templates.
- Create a generic email address to use for login, so more than one people (i.e. faculty, RAs, and admin) can access the platform, unless the chosen platform allows for 2 or more contributors.
- Some cost will be involved to allow a customised URL and any other service that might be useful.
